We love wood and what we can make from it
Company founder Erich Hogger Sr. already attached great importance to high-quality wood when purchasing timber. This quality standard continues to this day in the purchase and production of our products.
We love working with wood, the smell and its properties.
Because we value working with a natural product so much, we attach great importance to sustainability and the conservation of resources. We pay attention to sustainability right from the purchasing stage, to a good selection of wood during production and use the offcuts for cores or short lengths.
For this reason, we also make sure that short lengths are also ordered with the friezes. It would be a shame if three short lengths were cut from the long frieze, even though we have short lengths in stock or they are produced during production.

1966
Founding
by the senior partner Erich Hogger (d. 2019) as a wood shop.
At the beginning it was just a trade with the sale of high-quality veneer logs. After a while, the cutting of round wood into sawn goods and the cutting of raw parts, which were supplied to the furniture industry, were added.
1981
Construction of a drying chamber
Construction of a lumber storage hall with an integrated waste wood incineration system and computer-controlled lumber drying chamber.
From this point on, all carpentry shops in the surrounding area could be supplied with kiln-dried sawn goods.
Speciality: Chamber-dried oak, European. Maple, elm and many other local woods.
1991
Door frames
Start of manufacturing semi-finished parts for door production. The distribution of these parts was integrated into the existing timber trade. After a short time, other wood shops could be supplied with these products for resale.
1994
New beginning
May 1, 1993 Major fire on the company premises. After almost a year of development, we created a new entry with the already familiar production of door friezes and many associated by-products for the production of exterior and interior doors.
From the time of reconstruction onwards, exclusively through specialist wood retailers within Germany and the neighboring EU countries.

We process a renewable raw material, which is why it was important to our senior boss to develop products that can be further processed in a way that saves resources.
This is how the idea of offering semi-finished parts for carpenters arose. Pre-planed at an exact angle, the inner bars are finger-jointed so that even the “lesser” wood can be used. We attach great importance to the fact that short lengths of door friezes are also ordered. Because from our experience, the long friezes are often cut off and that's a shame. Not only would it make the product more expensive, it would also make it more difficult to deliver clean goods and meet your and our quality standards.
We have been getting electricity from our PV system for years and have also committed ourselves to working with our electricity provider in a CO² neutral manner.
In 2019, we were tested by GreenAktiv for economical electricity consumption and received the label without much rework.
